When I was younger, I was a HUGE fan of Hello Kitty and Sanrio. I remember there was an ice cream shop near my elementary school that also sold Hello Kitty items. After school, I would ask my dad to take me there to buy ice cream but really, I was plotting my way to have him buy me something from Hello Kitty. I was always a happy girl walking out of the store with an ice cream cone in one hand and a new pencil in the other hand.
I’m not surprised Hello Kitty is still popular today. Lately, I’ve gotten a lot of cake requests for her and these were for birthday celebrants ranging from 8 years old to their early-mid 20’s. Even though she hasn’t changed much she still captivates the hearts of the older generation and the new. This first one was for Jaiden and she was celebrating her 8th birthday at her martial arts school. Jaiden’s parents requested a Hello Kitty cake but I took it a step further and dressed her up in a martial arts uniform.
The next two were for older but still young at heart birthday celebrants. Hello Kitty and her classic red bow.
80’s Workout Hello Kitty…If Hello Kitty ever works out, I picture her totally rocking the 80’s look with leg warmers and all. As a surprise for the birthday celebrant, her sister requested to combine her love for Hello Kitty and working out.
Thanks for stopping by.
